I had an hour to kill waiting for Kellyco to open. I wanted to check out a detector before the big move. I hit a newly cleared lot near down town Sanford. I drive around looking for lawn, sidewalk replacement, or newly cleared lots. Moocho trash.

I found two wheat's and a foreign coin. I love finding foreign coins. They are exotic and so unique. It has such clarity of design.

We went to the beach for the last time. The beach is getting crowed again. Should have come after the crowd left.

My loot for the day.

Got a bucket of sand. When we make the move I am going to have my wife hide the ring in the sand. Then I can find it with my ace. Good idea huh.

Well, get used to them foreign coins. You are heading further north and will get lots of them there "funny money" :)

I would sure miss the metal detecting opportunities in Florida too. Lots of beaches, history wildlife etc. But I would also want to raise a family in a place with less criminal activity, lower taxes etc too. A move is like a breath of fresh air. You get to find new places to hunt, and that is always a bonus. All the best to you and your family on the new place :)

Going to miss your posts about hunting the beaches and deserted roads there in Florida. West Virginia?? I'll bet there are deserted roads everywhere just waiting for you.

Safe travels, John.

.... There are four varieties of that "foreign" cent - one is worth several of those "foreign" dollars....

Nice haul John... Good luck with your move.... Hope you will continue to post, but I always liked your beach pics...
