I am getting closer...

I had about 15 minutes before my next appointment and the weather was beautiful at 65 degrees. The trusty mxt preloaded with the 6x10 was in the back seat. Who can turn down a quickie hunt at the pubic tot park across the street? I had no kids to contend with, but hunted this very little swing set in the summer with dismal results. If it took longer the customer could wait as we need to constantly realign out priorities though out the day. A ten minute swing netted me a whopping 25 cents, then I took one last swipe on the edge before killing the gain. Hit a whopper signal and solid so whipped out the lesche and parted the chips. Looking down my heart about jumped out - there was this size 11 shiny ring and thick like it was planted there. Alas after closer examination, no marking on the inside, but shone like the sun ! (Picture is terrible for sure). Took it to my trusted jeweler and he promptly said it was a nice ring made out of titanium. Oh well,... I am getting closer to a gold ring for 2011. It fits my finger fine and is definitely a keeper. Keep you posted when the stamp appears on the inside of the next ring. Plugging on in the chips.... Marty HH :detecting:

Great job, those are showing up every now & then. There are more rings out there go get them.

Yeah,
Good job !
I have yet to find a ring.

Dusty,

If close to the beach, stake out the old rich ladies with a lot of bling hanging off their arms and make a mental note of the area. LOL
Like the old adage, "Keep the coil on the foil and dig for a ring spoil" (Just made that up this minute) HH EZ

Way to go! Another ring for your collection and you'll get that gold one of these days. HH, Nancy

Even though it may not be a precious metal, titanium is an amazing metal for jewelry. Good luck on the gold!
