is that the D40X takes a 4 GB SDHC card, which looks almost exactly like a regular SD card. I'd go looking for a 4 GB SDHC card, and see what the price difference is between two 2 GB SD cards, and one 4 GB SDHC card.

I have a 2 GB SD card for my D40, and it will hold over 1,000 images at factory pre-set settings. I think the only way I'm ever going to use that much memory is if I'm taking a lot of action shots.

The 1 Major Difference Is The D40x Has 10.2Gb Which Means I Can Make HUGE Enlargements --I Was Told That It Held 4 GB Of Memory So I Asked For THAT Card---What Did I Get (2)Cards Of (2Gb EACH---Question? And How Does It Do On Close Ups (Coins---Flowers) In My Test It Did NOT Do As Good As My OLD 35mm Did---But Then I Wonder If Any Digital Camera Does ?---Did I Pay To Much For^^^ Camera Body--18-55mm And 55mm to 200mm Lens With A Decent Camera Bag Came With A $50 Gift Card That I Will Use--And I Took Out A 2 Year Insurance Policy--PD $1300 For All---D.W.
