Well-known member
Well today my brother MarkCZ and I completed our trade, I am now the owner of another nice 1270 detector and a pretty good stock of coils. Good to be back I was kind missing my old 1270, its been gone about 3 or 4 months now.

I guess I will start finding those old silver coins again..............I hope.

Now I know you have head this before, but this time I mean it, I am not buying or trading for anymore detector.

Well I hope the problems are behind you?
I recently lost my job of 35 years and unlike my brother who is retired I'm on unemployment for now and the job market may be a little tuff.

Ron's got a pretty good batch of coils to choose from in this deal,
5" X 10"
8"
3.75"
and a loaner 5" (if he wants or needs it) at this point of the trade he was about to break my arm, you know how it goes with big brothers

Ron can you tell any difference between the 1270 you had before to the one you have now as far as performance?

So far I only have less than an hour of hunting and I was using the little 3 3/4" coil and I only found like 8 coins. Couldn't get any feel from that any difference there. Also I have been doing a little air testing of the coils, nothing there either the numbers are so close I couldn't get anything to say WOW.

I like the machine and it looks a little better than my old one.
Its going to take a few hunts to see if one comes out better than the other.

So for now I can only hope.

Your old 1270 was a beast and I hope this one is just as strong for you.

I got a few hours of hunting with the 1270 today and I can say it is at least as good as the old one. Wish I could brag on my finds but nothing big time.

With all the coils my brother let go with the trade we made, I just add another one, I got a pretty good deal on a used 10.5" with cover. Now if I can locate a 5" I will be loaded for bear.

Works good and looks good.

Man that coil looks pristine Ron keep us informed on how it performs! I always liked the white coils better than the black ones, especially early in the morning and late in the evenings!

It came with a coil cover on it so I had to take a look and see how the coil bottom looked and make sure it wasn't packed with dirt. Well it was nice and clean and no sign of usage, but now I know why they had a cover on it, man did you notice that pink filler?. The cover is back on it now. Maybe I will get Mark to check it next time.

Yep! good deal on a vintage coil!
Check for PM
