Got my Surf PI dual field about a week ago...my buddy Don won it in a MDing competition last year and sold it to me new in the box at a third the cost..great friend!...Got out 3 times before today with little success,3 earrings,8 cents in Penny's,and trash,i was only able to hunt the shore line during those outings because of the surf conditions....Today i got out at the end of the low tide and got in waist deep water with more encouraging results... I haven't water hunted in 6 years,so getting used to moving the coil through the water,setting the scoop in place,and dealing with waves takes a lot more thinking than land hunting..Not used to such a big coil..kinda intimidating at first...Today i found the Ike dollar(first one ever),4 quarters,3 nickles,and a penny...more finds this weekend i hope,,,Super moon/lowwww tides should make good hunting....HH bob.oz

Good finds, my hunting partner pulled a '72 Ike a couple of days ago. Keep us posted, full moons bring low tides. HH

You seem to be getting the feel for the DF Bob.

Any one of those targets could have been gold!!

I live in a beach area and have hunted it for years off and on and I still find old rings etc I missed!!

My main claim to fame is in hunting, getting in the wet, more than most.

Golden targets have been rare considering the time I spend in the drink!!

Coll finds and I'm sure the gold will be in your next scoop!(That's how I convince myself to walk around in the cold water ).

That Eisenhower Dollar has really taken a beating. A couple more years in the surf and it would have been a smoothie...
