Hurricane Season

New member
With hurricane season starting I wanted to ask a question about beach hunting. What makes the beach good or bad after a storm? If a hurricane goes up the east coast will it always take sand out or does it sometimes bring it in?

Im in Virginia and would like to do some ocean beach hunting. Im not at all interested in finding new stuff though. So when the best time to go and under what condition for the old stuff to be brought in or uncovered?

Any websites out there with tips on this?
