Hurricane Flo Blew Thru but left Paradise Mostly Intact:cool:

Well the worst is over and I'm about to check out the low tide here to see what Flo stirred up for me. We're in pretty good shape here at the moment and damage is pretty minimal. Flo just pushed into the Cat2 territory but she veered a little to the west {60 mi} which was enough to minimize damage to our island home.
The Princess and I got out with the 'Bouv' during the eye of the storm this morning and took a few pics.

Watford Bridge that's as far as we could go with the winds picking back up to hurricane strength

Definitely Time to head Home

Time to see if I can find a lee shore to work, rough as bricks at my beach right now.

Cheers,

PS Now just a tsunami and I've completed the list:lol:

Saw a couple reports about 25-35% of the population without power, but not alot of real damage or lives at risk. If you see any areas with alot of sand pulled out, take a pic - it would be interesting to see what something like that can do to a beach.

Hope a treasure chest blew up on your shore and you were the first one there to drag it home!!

Oh - and don't tempt fate with the tsunami comment silly!! :)

Even though we were prepared for the hurricane and even though we were fortunate that the storm didn't get worse and do more damage, we are extremely grateful to all of you who sent their prayers and best wishes. It makes a big difference when you are hunkered down and the wind is howling like a banshee just outside your door.
Lots of minor damage but thank god no deaths.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Glad Flo was kind to ya. Hope she left some goodies on the beach for you.
With earthquakes in the Gulf a tsunami maybe in our future here in Florida. Lord knows we've had everything else.
