Drove from Charlotte to Nags Head on Thrusday to check for the old fluff mud locations. Then on the way to Corolla, about a 30 miles drive. Checked alot of Beach access areas. Traffic evacuateing was backup for about 12 miles from the Corolla area. I was heading toward Corolla and detected some sites for abouit 2 hour's. Turned around and all the backup traffic was gone. Spent Thruday night in a safe location from Earl again back in Nags head. On Friday morning still trying to find some coins, very few ,mostly Bottle Caps and fine pieces of rusted wires. Made another trip to Corolla trying to find some coins, nothing still, all the sand was pulled down from the higher Summer Dunes, Hurricane Earl waves hit the Beach in a straight motion for 2 Days..Friday morning flies were every where on the beach and it the parking lots. They were also attacking the tires on my truck because of the warmth.Saturday morning still tons of flies, drove 10 miles from Nags Head and found a Walgeens open and bought some O F F with 25 % Deet, still the flies biting. Sorry only a few coins for 20 miles, checking about 50 Beach access Areas. Saw 3 men detecting around Kill Devil Hills, knowing they weren't going to find anything, They were swing their detectors real fast, and probaly could cover, N C, S C and Georgia Beaches in about 5 minutes. Detectors are cleaned up and ready for the next trip.gold luck- Goldnugget-Charlotte,NC. Going to the FMDAC Hunt in October at Niagara Falls, please join if you can
