.....A question for all the East Coast ocean THers:Will Hurricane Earl churn up lots of old goodies,OR will it just toss tons of junk around, making TH'ing impossible??Ive heard stories about down along the Treasure coast in Florida;when hurricanes come ashore, all kinds of sunken ship glitteries come with it.Anybody know?????

I guess the sand is removed down to the clay or gravel bottoms in some areas and probably builds the sand deeper in other areas....but any trash that is light will float and end piled up somewhere along a ditch or sand-dune, but just guessing! Those winds can cut deep gulleys but a person would have to hurry before the sand covers them again, from what I hear! Hurricanes can be very dangerous, so I would be extra careful where and when I did go detecting after the winds died down and the water receded! May God Bless and keep those safe who can detect the beaches and shorelines! Amen! Ma Betty

makes some super nice cuts and they find a lot of oldies and goodies! Wish I could be there right after!
