Hunts accumulation! :garrett:

It has taken about four hunts to put together enough decent finds to make a post. Two were over the July 4th weekend and the last two were yesterday and this morning. Yesterdays hunt yielded no silver. The 4th and 5th days hunt netted me 10 wheat cents, some clad, the 49 Washington quarter and the 3 Rosie's. A 49s, 50 and the 64d. Got 3 wheats yesterday along with the round ball, the H G E ring and the gold link. The link tests 10k. It was just a bip and I spotted the glint in the grass after the coil went over it. The ring probably had been there a while as it was 4" deep. No increased heart rate with it, however. It looked just like you see it coming out of the ground.

This morning hunt got me the harmonica reed piece, small pad lock, the Dealers Transport badge, 3 wheats, 19, 20, and 58, and the 36 Buffalo and the 41d Merc. The Dealers Transport badge appears to be from a auto transport trucking lines out of Plainfield In. Kind of makes you wonder how it got lost down here. The last two hunts were with the 11" stock coil. HH jim tn

I like all those finds, Jim, but I LOVE the badge. :jump:

Jim nice going on the silver and gold.

Great! Whats up with that single gold link you reckon? Did some sort of necklace get unwound by a lawnmower?

Plenty of nice old coins here....but the badge is tops for me. Nice digs.

Elton, think it actually might be a hat badge or was designed for affixing onto something else. The back has a screw attachment. Not a pin or clasp type for going on a shirt.

Mud, don't know about the one link. Searched and looked over a wide area to see if other links or whole chain might be around. Nothing! The one link was partially separated, so perhaps the chain fell off the wrist or neck and someone else found the whole thing???? The one likn has about 33 cents worth of gold in it. LOL HH jim tn

Excellent! Love the 10K thing! Had a couple of those...initially; hmmm...then; yea!

WTG! Very nice finds Jim. I also sometimes combine a few hunts together. It saves time, especially in the summer months, when you get busy with metal detecting plus all the other activities we do in the summer.

wow Jim you made some very nice finds! I have to agree with others about the badge and can only wonder how that badge ended up where it did.
