Hunt'n in the rain

Saturday started out cloudy and muggy and then the rains came in the form of light drizzle all day which I liked very much! Started off where I left off last week and found another nice pocket knife. The next target was a deep iron hit, went ahead and dug it. Glad I did because the target changed to a brass hit when I got closer too it. Ended up being a nice Dragoon cuff sized button found pretty deep! All in all a nice day to be out digging! Thanks for looking and ya'll have a great week!

Steve: When you get a "deep iron" signal on your MXT are you running any discrimination? Curious I usually try to discriminate out "small nails" (Disc =2) wondering if you run at 0. Maybe I've been missing a lot and didn't know it.

No, your not missing anything. I set my Disc. between 1 and 2 and max out sens. as high as it will allow. I want to hear the square nails and dig'm because I have found out them darn little nasty critters will mask over my buttons and coins. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled square nails out and rechecked hole just to find a nice button or coin sitting directly underneath.

I'm not sure how many I've got. I know it's not awhole lot but each one is very special. Keep hang'n in there, one will pop up soon! :)
