this morning i took out my newly aquired omega 8000 which i have named lucky and after two hours more or less i nearly wrapped it round a tree.i called it lucky because you have to be lucky to find anything worth while keeping with it.the over bearing noises and the insane emi just about drove me to distraction.pull tabs,screw caps,crown seals,foil and all manner of junk it finds with ease.my settings are those that were told to me by someone on site who will remain nameless.what a waste of money.emubob

After 2 hours? You must be a pro. Mine is V 6 and I have found a ton of great coins with it. Very quiet and DEEEEEEEEP. But I only have 100 or so hours on it so what do I know?

Sounds like you were running it too hot for the area. Try backing things off a little till you get used to the sounds. Max sens is 70 on the 8000, you don't get anymore after that.
