Hunting wet ground

wild horse joe

New member
It has been raining here off and on for days. I want to get out and hunt between the storms. Does the wet ground confuse the metal detector. If I use the prob feature will the gain no. be correct and do I have to do any thing different with the settings ? Someone told me VLF detectors do better in wet ground. I know digging damp ground is a lot easier and the damage to lawns is less. Thanks for any advise Joe

Our ground has been soaked and no problems hunting, if anything, the moisture greatly aids in finding the deep targets.
