Yep this is my fourth winter down here not much changed. Being the off season not much traffic on the Beach here. I hunt mostly in pro with very little dis. run it about on 18,diggings easy with a longhandled scoop. A hit on a Q sure sounds sweet. Dug a faint signal bouncing between 52-54, down almost a ft. it settled on a nickel. Something about digging a deep nickel, makes me feel I'm so great. I usually come up with one or two gold items in two months hunting. Never know what's in the next scoop.

How does the atpro work in wet salt beach sand? jus wondering as I am thinking of getting one. I curently use an etrac which works great but not waterproof.

Good for you Dancer. You have lots of miles of beautiful white sand beaches there to play in. Been there several times over the years.

jimmy, I had my A T on a Georgia salt water beach and it performed very well. When you hit the wet sand get a good ground balance, which, was in the teens where I was. I didn't get in the water, but worked the turf line up and into dry sand with a couple of re- ground balancing in between.

Daner, good luck. HH jim tn

Thanks JmTn, I appreciate the information, much gold & silver to ya for the new year.

Good luck, Dancer. Hope you find all the gold and silver you need in 2014. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable stay in Fl. I sure wanted to get out today, because Mama and I have appointments Thursday & Friday. Maybe Saturday I can do a little dirt fishing. I'm staying off the roads today. Lot's of people drinking and driving to celebrate the new year.
