Hunting season is now open

Larry (IL)

in Central Illinois.............:clapping:

I met up with Daryl for a few hours of hunting and the ground was thawed where we were hunting. We experienced mostly fill dirt and rocks at a new spot that looked promising but was disappointed for the most part. I did get a nickel signal that sounded real good near a picnic table which turned out to be GOLD............ Oh Yea....... Just a small 14K wedding band, 2.4 g but it is still a great start for the season. The bottom ring is a junker

It's a cute wedding band with little beading around the edges. Good going Larry on your first outing for the year!

Great start

Oh man, I miss our boat so much.:cry::cry: (crying buckets) A lot of good times were had on that boat. Tell me more?

I did have plans, but nothing that can't be changed Steve, what did you have in mind?

The only plans I had today was to take Nancy shopping, to a spa and then to a nice restaurant. Ouch :stretcher:

Tell'em Nancy, you'll be diggin' a hole alright but he better make it 6' deep! :nono:

Yeah, my thoughts exactly! 6 foot deep and 3 foot wide! Believe me, he'll pay for it.  I do see a shopping trip in the near future. :)

The spot Larry and I hit wasn't as good as we hoped for but I did find some clad and a nice old brass Eagle padlock. I'll try and post my finds tomorrow. Daryl

Its nothing fancy just an old bass boat. Now i just need some warmer calm weather so i can take her out.

Yep, that's a fishin' boat. Hope you can get out and fish soon. There's a few beaches along the river that might be productive. We didn't want to beach our boat very often, it scratched the botom paint too much nor would I allow fishing. I sure do miss that thing. Watch out for those flying carp!!! :yikes: HH, Nancy
