Today was a beautiful day in the California desert. I headed out about 6:30 am to hunt a church lot that now sets on a site that use to be an
Old elementary school. The school was built in the 20's and rendered in 1966 to make way for the church. Not many people know that
History.
I started hunting the curb grass and dirt.
My first target of the day was a wheat penny. 1951s. VDI was 81. About 30 seconds later I got an 82 signal and out pops a Mercury dime.
First silver in months. Happy dance time. Mercury dime is not a big deal, but the first one in months is.
Continued on for about an hour found 3 quarters, 5 more dimes, one nickel and 11 more penny's.
All in all a great day for the old guy. No photos, cause I don't know how.
Happy hunting to all you forum folks. Keep up with the neat finds and great tips.
