I bought my xplorer XS back in Oct.& been hunting fairly regular with it shootin coins in parks with the 10 1/2 coil w my own coin program. The problem I'm having is when I try to huntin trashy I keep losing targets that I kno are deep silver or maybe the Iron or trash is masking the target. Is there anyone in N&Wgeorgia area that might be able to take some time & maybe give me a few tips...Thanks Chris In Georgia.

i get the same thing. my guess is thats its iron causing the non repeatable high pitches i guess
digging would give tha answers. i bought a new ground shark last week, 24 incher with the pointed tip. when you are down to dig you can still put your shoulder wheight into it. make a hole small
or large, shallow or deep as you like. cuts a neat plug to.

just another reason why the periscope probe & explorer make such a great pair. you never have to dig any false iron signals : )

Try using a smaller coil, especially the Sun Ray X-5. It is easy to pinpoint with and does a great job in heavy trash. Another option is their X-1 Target Probe. It offers discrimination and gives superior depth on coin size targets (about 3"). Good hunting, David @ Dixie

David, I started using the Minelab 8" coil & well in this past week I found 2 wheaties A 1918 & 37 the 1918 was close to 10" deep under a huge trees roots. as for the X1 I will be ordering one from you real soon. thanks yall for ur time & tips. Chris In W.Georgia
