just curious how many hunters have problems distinguishing the tones and rely on their target id's? I am one of those tone deaf hunters and have come to realize the 705 is right on with the target id when set up properly with the sens, noise cnxl, thresh, etc. and most of all doing a manual ground balance. If you know your ids and you get a high pitch(when i say I'm tone deaf, I mean I can distinguish between low and high but no other sounds) and the id stays consistent and doesnt jump around from the target id and pinpoints consistently with the target id.... it is right on the money. So my real question is I wonder how much I am missing by not using the tones and basically just relying on the consistent target ids( and when i say consistent I mean those that dont jump from 34 to 44 to 28 etc.) I know i sound fascinated with the target id but you must realize I am coming from a tesoro cibola...lol
