Hunting in the snow

Got out for the last time, ground is just beginning to freeze :(. Weather says 6 degrees and snowing, perfect for civil war relic hunting, he he! Hit a battlefield that I have been hunting for a couple years now. This picture is where I have found alot of fired Confederate .577 Enfields in the past. It's along this fence line where I assume the Union line was.

First bullet of the day, dug a nice deep plug, you can't see it but bullet is in bottom of hole.

Today was kinda special, I found my first, very own, one of a kind, Gardner bullet!!! I know you guys down south find these by the bucketfuls but up North here, well, it's kinda special! Here are the bullets I found today. Obviously the .577 Gardner with insert is Confederate, don't know about the top row 3 ringers, might be M&M 374. I know the .50 cal Smith is Union. All in all, what a blast! But I think I'm going to wait till warmer weather for my next hunt. LOL!!!
