Hunting in other Modes

Is there a disadvantage to hunting in say Plot mode instead of spechtrograph?

The analysis modes were not designed as the main detecting screen. If you get all the information from an analysis screen go for it. Whatever works for you.

If I can get VDI numbers from Polar Plot, I would prefer to hunt in that mode. Honestly I really only use sound, Pin Point, and VDI to determine to dig or not. Occasionally I use the size feature, but not often. Some guy named Rob (Hint Hint) clued me in to the Pin Point Frequencies, which help a lot. I found an old Abandoned Church yesterday which I found from the Masonic Cornerstone was laid in 1920 that I hunted a while yesterday. Sounds great but from the Coins I found I think it had a layer of Gravel applied just prior to Zinc Pennies. Anyway I got chiggers so bad I am running fever today.

Take a bath and soak in Pine o Pine.. That will solve your chigger problem.. Plus you'll smell like a pine tree.:geek:
