Hunting in Northern New Jersey

LostNowFound

New member
Anyone interested in hunting in Northern New Jersey, let me know.

I am waiting for the weather to break to go on my first hunt ever. Looking forward to it.

Happy Hunting

Lost, good luck on your first hunt. May it be the first of many and your finds a plenty. If I were closer i'd love to go with. I live in lower Delaware, if you ever get down this way shoot me a pm. I've got lots of good places to go. BTW, love your signature verse. He's with me every where I go.

Starting out with an Ace 350? You'll have a blast !! HH

I live in southern jersey. Maybe our paths will cross someday on a beach. Lucky you starting with an ace350 HH. Hope you find great things!

Hi,
I am waiting to get my metal detector. (Ordered it yesterday and should be here in a week or two)
I live in Bergen county and was wondering what are the laws regarding metal detecting?
Can I go to the public parks like Van Saun Park and just start detecting? How about the national parks like Allaire?

Thanks
s

Shogo, I can tell you the national parks are a no, no. I use to live about a mile from Hudson County park in N.J. Maybe check there? You need to check if the city has an ordinance on metal detecting.

Thanks,
I do plan on asking the local governments on their stance re detecting.

How are the beaches?

Van Saun should be OK, (grew up nearby in the City of Champions),as well as Municipal and County Parks, Green Acres ( hey your paying for it). If you're questioned just say your looking for extra change to try to attemp pay your outrageous property taxes. Stay away from Allair and other State Parks. A suggestion, don't ask to many questions on public property. If they don't like it they'll let you know. and always, always cover your holes with care.
