Hunting in Destin FL

Member
A big thanks to Hershy1 for the encouragement. I would not be taking my detector if not for him.
I bought a RTG travel scoop and its on the way and a pluger excall travel shaft and am ready to hit the Destin Florida beaches!
This will be my second trip to hunt the oceans and am looking forward to some great scenery and finds. My last trip was to Galveston and man the targets are a lot deeper in the salt water than fresh water. Most targets in fresh water are no deeper than 3-6" Some times you will find a old swim beach with stuff deeper but not often.
It will sure beat hunting fresh water lakes with gators.... I cant wait.:detecting:

Any suggestions on what beaches to hunt or not hunt? I will have 1 full day and a few afternoon/evenings to dedicate to detecting.
I hope to make the most of this business trip. It will be a few years before i go back.
I plan on looking up the resorts and hunting in front of them with the hopes of some recent drops or if the sand is moving some of last years.

Thanks for the help.
