scoops

the one thing I forgot to mention to you was the easy of sand exiting the scoop.

Alum. Scoops are light, but the metal is not as smooth as S/S, therefore when u try and dump out the sand, it wants to hang around more than it would in the S/S. The S/S, it just slides out pretty easy, a little more effort is required for alum. Scoop.

Here are some examples of scoops for your thoughts

Keep in mind that I add a middle and sometimes an upper handle to my scoops, it is a personal thing, but works really good in the water.

do you live in the area? If not, how often do you get down here? I'm only ten minutes from Folly but I don't do much, if any, hunting in the summer. I usually start in the fall and go until the spring. I guess I should think about starting back during the summer months but hate the crowds. I also play golf so that takes up some of my time. Drop me a pm next time you head down, maybe we can meet up.

Thanks for the posts about SS vs. aluminum. The pics are extremely helpful, too. I'll definitely check out Nutall's site for more info, pricing, etc.

I recommend the Monster Stainless Steel Water Scoop. I bought this scoop from Kevin Reilly a year ago. It weighs 7 pounds with an 11" X 6" bucket. It is designed for serious water use. http://www.rtgstore.com
