Hunting Freshwater Beaches?

Hello all, anyone have any advice on hunting freshwater beaches? I don't live near the coast but I do live by the great lakes and finger lakes region of upstate NY and I do have access to beaches they are just freshwater not saltwater. Is there any settings I should change on my BH 505? Thanks in advance.
