Hunting down some stragglers this time of year. With the Inferno.

Been hunting quite a few places since I started in 2000.Got a 1500 in about 2002, an Ace soon after it came out. Got a ATP the first year it came out. I've got to say this, in all those yrs, I don't think I ever dug a Bobby pin & very few nails. Got my share of tabs,& foil. The years I had the time I dug a ton of clad, occasionally silver rings etc. Not a lot of gold, maybe 24 items. In all those years.
Got a pulse induction Infinium this spring. PI = dig most everything. So I've been going over my fished out ball fields, while waiting to do some wading. What I've found is .this. Much to the credit of my land Garretts pretty near most of the clad has been cleaned up. In the last few yrs I've been digging tabs more often trying for gold. Now taking the Inferno in there, I'm digging stuff I've never dug before. I can't believe the nails, hair pins, nuts, bolts & other pieces of iron buried out there. But, take a look at this hunt I had couple weeks ago. Hunted a girls softball field. Dove tail pull tabs, about 4 pins, half a dozen nails. In that mess I only found 4 dimes, 2 pennies. And a fairly deep 16k gold women's ring. Couple of other fields finding better than my average of nickels, along with all the junk. I bet I know what's waiting for me around the fresh water boat docks I'm going to be hunting shortly.

Yeah, get that thing in the water...thats where it shines, at least for me, mine has yet to see dirt, just water and sand..I hunt some very trashy iron infested water with iron audio off and pull gold and silver. I hunt the dirt with an different rig, but some of the guys really kill good targets with the Pro on the dirt too...good to go back and see what you missed, and you didnt miss much, that tells a guy a lot.

16K ring was worth the effort and digging some trash. I thought about renting a wetsuit this week, but decided to wait until next week and hit the water as much as I can and as deep as I can and break this silver & gold drought I'm in. I found two more places where they used to have baptisms and used also as a swimming hole and another huge swimming area on private property and hope to get some letters out next week seeking permission. It will soon be warm enough to go detecting in the water in my clothes. We've had so much rain I can't get out very far in my chest waders and I've worked over the area up to waist deep. I've been losing weight and that's good but the guy at the dive shop told me I might want to hold off buying a wetsuit until I lost more weight because it needed to fit tight for best effect in cold water. I know about the nickles also. Since I went to the Infinium and now the ATX I am digging many more than I ever dug with the VLF especially in black sand areas.
I know I would hate to be the next detectorist to hit an area I had just cleaned up. I knew you would learn to love your Inferno. Keep on swinging...
