Hunting Cozumel

Does anyone know if there are any restrictions to hunting the beach in Cozumel? Can metal detectors be taken off and brought on board a cruise ship without a hasstle?
Thanks in advance for any info.

I haven't hunted Cozumel but I have taken my detector to Cancun with no problem on the cruise line. I pack mine in hard case so it doesn't get damaged.I also took it to the Bahamas with no hassle from the cruise lines. I hunted the cruise lines private beach that they took us to for one day. One trip was with Carnival Cruise line the other was Royal Caribbean. Good Luck. HH

Thanks Joe. I'm leaving in 10 days. I'll probably pack my MD. We also stop at Key West (what's left of it after Ike)

I've just purchased an Excaliber ll / 800...haven't even received it yet.. .but after reading more about all the problems so many have had with slipping knobs, loose wires and steel shafts on the pots that rust, instead of brass, I'm wondering if these problems have been cleared up with the newer Excal ll? Any thoughts on this, anybody? Am I jumping the gun to have buyers regret?
Thanks in advance,
Flyguy
