Hunting Close To Bleachers & Equipment

New member
Hi all.

Can any of you offer suggestions on how to hunt close to metal posts such as bleachers and playground equipment? I've tried looking on youtube but can't seem to find anything.

I use an Ace 250 with the small Sniper Coil and just received an Ace 400. Also use a pinpointer.

Any solid advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you!
Bud

Turn down the sensitivity. That will get you closer to the steel structures. Also, notch out some of the iron to help deal with the abundance of audio signals. Good luck! :)

On my sniper coil, the toe of the coil is less sensitive than the other sides, so I sweep it closer to the poles, benches, etc. I also compare a possible coin signal to another spot on the same pole. If it is louder (checking always with the toe) on one equidistant spot than the other, it's probably a target. In these close quarters, I'm never above 3 bars sensitivity on my 250. I'm always in relics mode- which is just enough iron discrimination to prevent signal overload-unless high amounts of trash.
