When I was at the B&B in Gettysburg, of the cats on the farm found my MD a little suspicious :) Watched and followed for a while... then went back to sleep on the porch :)

This is just one of the areas I hunted... Steve: the "fog" effect is humidity  Now why didn't I move that green chair and the blue grill out of that shot???

Nice pics, Joe! Had the same experience with a dog once. After I would replace the plug, the dog would go behind me and dig it up. I guess it could smell the fresh earth. After I was through digging I had to run the dog off and go back and fill my holes again.

Did you run your detector over that old rock wall?

One time in an older park I had a small dog wanting attention so badly that it kept laying down where I wanted to dig and wouldn't get up! I petted him/her and then finally I grabbed and kissed him or her on the nose and said get home and left to another area to continue detecting. The dog finally left the park and quit pestering me! I had others just stand a far distance from me and bark! Glad they didn't come near, as I didn't trust them and they didn't trust me! :):

God Bless!

I imagine soldiers from the CW time era lying near the stone wall waiting for the enemy to come walking out of the mist and into the sights of the muzzleloading rifles. And the plastic chair back looks like the wheel of a small cannon.

Do I have an over active imagination or ???? Did you detect along that stone wall?
