Hunting Around The Lake Spot #2

Member
I am going to spend my days after work this fall hunting all of the parks around a local lake. This is spot #2. It is a very small swimming area at a YMCA camp. I hunted for about 2 hours. Found $3.71 in clad and 4 silver rings. It will probally take at least 2 or 3 more afternoons to hunt the entire swim area. It is nice that the coins to trash ratio is very low (See Photo). I will try to have photos of each site as I go. I did not take my camera with me today.

Nice silver rings........WTG :clapping:
Look forward to the next hunt
and pics. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Take pictures of the lake as that's a sure way to have every detector within driving distance hitting that lake
there's ALOT of people that just read the post looking for a spot to hunt that someone gave up by posting a
picture or telling the name of the lake even here in Michigan with all the places to water hunt I'll never tell anyone
the spots my friends and i go to. And like thay say a picture is worth a thousand words DON'T DO IT YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!
Just a few words of wisdom from someone who knows

If that spot is representative of the rest of the area, you are going to have a very nice fall!

I live just north of Dallas. There are several lakes around to hunt in. We have two major clubs in the area and lots of water hunters. There are not many places you can call your own. I haven't found one yet. Most of the time I hunt with at least 2 and sometimes up to 5 or six others. Almost every site we hunt can be seen from a major road or highway near it. The key to being successful is simply to be persistant. These parks have millions and millions of pull tabs which keep out the faint hearted (not to mention the lead). As for posting photos, I was on a forum earlier this year and saw great photos of one of my favorite sites posted to the forum by a gentleman on vacation from Virginia. So why shouldn' t I put a few up? Besides when others come out I have someone new to harass! And that keeps life fun!

A good point was made......keep the good spots to yourselves. I've been lucky for years, although I'm starting to get some competition recently.
