Hunting A Delaware beach

Very family-friendly beach. Laid back but the beach gets packed during the day . Got a nice board walk. Cake walk, not so fast.
My third year coming here for a week. It's a challenge. Got a lot of people paying parking meters by Smart phones. Families packing their coolers, and of course paying by plastic. Not many wearing bling, and when they do it's stainless. Then ya got competition. I get on it just before sunrise, but some hunt during the evenings. It's still fun though, hoping aginst hope. You just never know what's coming next.
You see all kinds of hunters. One guy, hunts like a water skipper, jumps around a lot. Every time I happen to look up, he's watching if someone s digging something. Sometimes if I catch him, Ill pretend I found something good, just drives him crazy. Pretty soon I see he's moved up in front of me. What a hoot. O well after a hunt, there's a bar stool, steamed shrimp, and of course a few cool ones. And another sunrise tomorrow.

Sounds like a typical beach hunt where I hunt. One day I counted Seven other coil swingers from where I was standing. The seven was those that I could actually see what they were doing.

But once in a Great while I do find something nice in spite of the competition. I do not find a lot of gold jewelry but July was my best finds Ever.

I usually get down there once or twice a year.. ive almost always done well there.. only ever found one gold but almost always find a decent amount of targets if i can get in the shallow surf which is sometimes easier said than done due to strong surf... enjoy..

Good Luck and enjoy your time there.

I get over there once in a while.. go there about dinner time when people are heading out so as to avoid frustrating traffic. Ususally find clad coins but nothing fantastic yet. Just couple pieces of costume jewelry. Good luck and have fun
