I took the day off from work and hiked to an old home site that I have been hitting every now and then when the conditions are right.
After about 45 mins of hunting, I found a .52 cal. bullet which surprised me. This is the only one I have found at this site so far.
A little later I found a cuff size navy button. One pic of the bullet is " fresh out the hole".
Other things picured are 2 knives, part of a lantern, a large button, part of a trap,a suspender buckle, a harmonica reed plate, and one item that I can't ID.
The item in the upper right hand corner has some designs on it and maybe some part of a broach. It has some traces of gold gilt on it.
Other things found were many shotgun shells, pistol cartridges, 3 axe heads, a ballpeen hammer, and some lead fragments.
I was using the 5.75 coil and it is my first choice when hunting in these conditions.
The "V" runs quiet as a mouse and is a great detector.... very light too for those long hikes back yonder.
Thanks for looking,
Felix
