Huntin' in the snow today!

Detecting season is never over:

After 11 days off, many of which were nice, I had just a few hours today last minute to detect .... of course it will snow! Nothing great to report, 6 quarters, 3 dimes, 1 nickel, 15 pennies, and I passed on a whole bunch of pennies. Turned on the ol' GPS and headed for parks that I had never heard of.

I had this place all dug up, never tell it by the picture. Believe me the picture does the actual weather any justice, it was snowing sideways and 26 degrees, at one point I could hardly see!

Glad you got out and had some fun.
Is that another one of them rubber matted playgrounds ? Hate those things.
Nothing like the old wood chips for change.
Well you made some change, got to relax, and the excitement of the post.

Happy Hunting

No, not a rubber mat but wood chips with a thick liner about 5" down. Not an old place so anything good would be shallow. What the heck... I was wanting to get out for the last 2 weeks and didn't have time, today at the last minute I figured that I had 3 hours to burn so I hit the road. Good for the soul, cold on the fingers and toes!

I'll hunt 'til the ground freezes. The snow doesn't bother me too much, but the wind.....

Wind chill here tomorrow morning is supposed to be around 0
