Hunted the thicket

Hi all, I hit the woods after the field dried up. Hard going but lots of stuff to dig but you have to fight the briers to get it.

It's wild how the patina is so much darker on woods relics. Nice finds

The neat thing is the J hook was right under the leafs and one of the bullets was only an inch deep. Can't wait to get back there.

I have noticed that too. Also, if you scrape the dark patina away, the bullets have the white lead oxide underneath. I wonder if it has something to do with all the decaying leaf/organic stuff?

Good finds. Briars ! cch

Nice ones!

nice finds....The spot that I hunt is also loaded with briars.. I also use wireless Auvio) headphones which makes the searching much easier with no wires to get tangled.. Keep up the good work ... HH
