Hunted out Yankee camp/picket area VS. Nautilus IIBa take 2

Went back to the hunted out site for another try with the Nautilus IIBa. I took some back up since the last hunt didn't produce for me. My back up was a new 15" coil VS. the 10" I used the last hunt. Well I did find alot of rusty iron but none of it was any good. Besides that I dug nota nory nuthin'!!!!!! Zilch!!!!! I guess it's safe to say that my Minelab Explorer II & SE didn't miss anything. That makes me even more confident about my Explorers but at the same time unsure of the IIBa. I will not give up on the new machine but I really was expecting more depth from it. I tried various settings, manual and auto ground balance, transmit power from 20-45. disc. set at 15. Guess I need many more hours on it to be good with it.

I don't know about the Explorers but I have been hunting with a buddy, Jim Armstrong, for about 5 years,he has a Nautilus & the depth is unreal. I hate to admit but he seems to spank me on
a regular basis. I have seen him dig a thin-thin Spanish 1 reale at 10" that me & my other buddy Jim Weaver had pounded with our XLTs, I have also seen him dig coins out of iron infested areas.
I don't see how he does it with that all metal in one ear, but he does. I think I do have a advantage in the trashy areas though. I got off track, to your point, I know another hunter Fred Bogart that's been at it for about 30 years, he has owned every top of the line machine & he knows how to use em. He hunts about every day. He now owns a Explorer, he hasn't come right out & said it but I get
the feeling from him that he may think the Nauty goes deeper. I do know that Nauty is a formidable weapon in the relic field.

to Watauga to hunt. I figured if the Nautilus found something there as hard as it has been hammered then it was doing good. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. Do you see Mr. Pullon at church anymore? I've lost his # and we probably need to check back in with him again and make sure it's no problem to hunt there. I'd like to get into some sites around Hamilton hill and vacinity. I know there's stuff all around that area.

get used to it or he may be like me where I have used the Explorer's since 10-08-03 and have tried other machines briefly and don't think they stand up to the Explorers, I am sorta bias when it comes to the machine of my choice. :lmfao: :minelab:
