hunted nickels today

Hey Nancy here's a few nickels I dug in the shade today at the local park . Has cooled down here for a few days . The shinny one looked nice down in the whole about 6 inches deep .. This is the second silver 1943 I dug in this park not to far apart ether . I also got a 1940 nickel and a 1944 silver mercury in this park earlier this year and my hunting buddy dug a standing liberty Quarter in this park also . Park was first started in 1926 .

Oh Harold, My heart went pitter-patter. I love them nickels. Those silver ones are quite special!!! It's always a wonderful surprise to see those come out of the ground. What a great find and also congrats on the Mercury dime. Sounds like you've got a good place to stick around for a while. HH and thanks, Nancy

Congrats on the nickels Harold. I wish I could pull coins like that up from 6". I dug a 1981 penny up the other day at almost 8" !

I love to hunt for nickles, most of the other MDers around here ignore them so that leaves more gold rings for me.
