Hunted 2 vacant lots this weekend, thus the 2 separate pics. The 1st lot was loaded with square nails and other iron and was very difficult. Will go back with different strategy. 5 Wheat cents, 2 WWII army buttons, a tailor weight, 3 shotgun shells, several keys, 5 marbles, a violet bottle stopper, early spark plug, silverware, pocket knife, a Fortis watch, etc. The 2nd lot was more interesting, but just as difficult. Lots of trash. 12 Wheat cents (1927-1955 including a 1934D), 1907 V nickel, 1943D Merc, 1956 50centavos, 2 play 'thin' dimes, a button made out of a 1954 1centavo coin, a gold plated bracelet with etched names I can't make out, a large Victorian brooch with the center stone missing, an Art Deco brooch of white enamel, glass and mother-of-pearl buttons, 25 assorted old marbles, a celluloid Micky Mouse head, a greenish plastic doll, porcelain doll leg, printer's block with 'Eyesight Dim?' advertisement, brass saddle, Star Brand Shoes thimble, medicine bottle (J.J. Thames Druggist), buckshot, and other odds and ends. I'll go back to this spot, too.

Man, you must have some really deep pockets to hold all that loot... everything but the kitchen sink..great bunch of finds..congrats.

Yeah BootyHoundPa, I had to make a few trips to the car to unload trash and treasure.

Nice goodies!!:clapping:

Nice finds Floyd! you doing some real digging and sifting...or was that site all dug up and rained on or something? Was curious on all the marbles and glass and porcelain stuff?

Mclucky, we've been in a drought here for years, so the ground is pretty much bare. When it does rain, it uncovers a few relics that are close to the surface. The Micky Mouse head and plastic doll were uncovered while digging one of the other treasures.
