Hunt #60

It was raining this morning, pretty good down pours. I didn't want to hit any of the parks because it was ankle deep with water. In between rain showers I went to the beach. It rained on and off all the time I was out on the beach. I use a poncho from my days using the Wader. Not much out there. The weather hasn't been the best for sunbathing or any kind of beach activity.
I thought I would run Standard/coin mode. Kind of nice to have it run so quiet. Picked up 3 dollar coins. That is 6 dollar coins the AT has picked up so far. Could be a good season for dollar coins? The AT has picked up 1499 coins so far. That is a nice coin count for me. Thanks for reading and HH.....Z

I have found quite a few dollar coins but never more than per hunt. Three is quite a find. They do add up quick. Nice hunt.

Nice finds!

I've never found a dollar coin before.. Silver, clad or otherwise. Someday...someday...

oh yea , the AT hits hard and sweet on $1 and $2 dollar coins (in Aus , they hit 75-77). Went to a race track a few days ago for about 3 hours and found $15 dollars worth. Went back the next day for about 2 and a half hours and found $25 dollars worth , most of them being $2 coins.I guess $2 coins being smaller than the $1 coins, they are harder to spot when dropped

My best on dollar coins was 17 in 15 mins in a 20ft area of beach, found out later that day from the state park guy they had a contest for kids 14 thru 16 and they won dollar coin, he's said one kid tripped and knock over the judges table and they couldn't fined all the dollars, he even tried. Then 20 so feet away I found over fifty pennies from the 3 to 5 year age group. thats alot of bending for 53 cents. Gene

Thanks for replies.
Jerry I have never found more than 1 in a days hunt. I know it was a pocket spill because the dollar coins were all in the same area. Last year I had about 7 dollar coins. It could be a good dollar coin year?
Jarrow I have 1012 pennies in the 1499 coins that I have found with the AT Pro. So I am no stranger to pennies. :clapping:
Neil I found a full unopened can of beer yesterday. I hope that is not the "BIG" that you are predicting?
Mud I have not found a gold coin yet either. Hope you feel better? :)
Vanner a $15 day would be from an excellent to super day for me. :yikes:
Oh sure Gene rub it in. I found the cans that those coins were in. You could of left me a dollar or even a few pennies?
Thanks guys and HH.....Z

great job Zeek.....you sure pound those coins!!!. The beach is slow down there im sure with the cold and rain.
