I put on the 11" coil. There are still a lot of targets. Though the soil has gotten hard and dry. We are having a heat wave . Hope we get some rain and soften the soil a bit.....
I hunted for about an hour and a half and forgot the key to by bicycle lock so I had to bring it out on the field and keep it close to me.
I found (9) quarters,(12) dimes,(0) nickles,(9) pennies, (1) plated silver ring with maybe hematite's for stones, and 1 key.
(1) penny was a Canadian penny.

There are many lower number targets I was skipping but with the dry hard ground I an being selective and picky.
I quit because the heat was getting to me.

I may be passing an india or just a junk penny. But I do not want to leave the gound looking like a battle zone....so when the ground is a little easier to dig..I will dig the iffy ones...
but Finding 3 dollars in a unt is ok by me.

in new york monte..

the town of Astoria on the north Oregon coast and I am certain they, too, have a park. :) Not as old or used as often as your Astoria Park, I am sure.
