Well I got out a little late so maybe I spent a few minuets less hunting...but the finds are surely getting thinner. I spent almost the whole time on 58 discr.
I found
(4) quarters
(9) dimes
(2) nickles
(26) pennies
2 funny paired heart things in different locations. Not sure if they were to a chain or what.
and i found more keys...
I have dug numerous pull tabs, beaver tails, ring tabs and such.
I figure if I go over a ring I will find it.
I did recover 1 Wheaties 1919.
It may be time to put the 11" coil back on and see if there are coins deeper.

Yes it's time for the deeper coil .... WTG

todays wheatie seemed about 5 inches..

i have the 5in sitting on the shelf collecting dust haven't even put it on the machine better check see if it works hey? just brought it for gold hunting if i ever go!

Jim better get that 11in on and tell me if the 5in is more sensitive?

JIm,

I have been reading some of your posts and have been astonished at the finds you are making. I did some "simple math" and you are recovering coins at approximately 1 every 2 minutes. Not accounting for trash, and search time - you have a "honey hole" :bouncy:

If you don't mind can you tell me your recovery style ? I would love to up my finds / recoveries per hour spent.

Thanks !

Wacko

I only use a probe to recover coins...basically it is a file handle with a 1/4 fiberglass shaft inserted and sharpened to a point... I make sure to pinpoint as close as I can so I can hit the coin..then insert the shaft a bit back so I can get under the coin.
