Ok, I hunted for just 2 hours but the but there are still finds...
I has been a long wait but I now have my first indian head penny and 2 more wheat's.
I found
(1) dollar coin.. sac
(15) quarters,
(21) dimes
0 nickles...
23 pennies.
1 track medal with the date and pos 2001 track and field 2nd place.

So how is the safest way to clean the indian head penny.
Maybe soak it in olive oil ?
Later I'll try to get some photo's up...

I was not watching the numbers real close but it was in the 70's.....
I think it is a 1909....

Jim, be careful with the I H. If it is a 1909 and possibly has a s mint on it, (1909s) that is a key date and has some nice value to it. Good luck! HH jim tn

It is definitely a 1909 but I can see no S. It also will remain pretty rough. The back seems fair but the Indian is next to invisible. The date is also about all I can see.
Oh well..The wheat's are 1951 and 1940. Beyond using some oil and dish soap to remove the oil I am done. My camera though did not take any kind of photo one would be able to see.

Nice jim keep it up, you will find them and some will be nice and others will not be so good.

I tried again again and here is my best photo of the 1909 indian and a few others I have found. Being I only have the phones camera. I have decent but hard to work with photo's...I get 1 coin and the others aren't great..
