Just wanted to take some time to thank everyone for all the help on the cz and show you my finds since you guys helping me!

Listening to all that painstaking grunting of iron has really paid off and I'm doing significantly better now!

Still get fooled by super rusty nails and every bent nail comes in good. But I'll take it. Way better than digging nothing but nails!

I do have one more question. Does Nasa Tom still tune czs? If so about how much does it cost?

I buried my merc dime yesterday at about 8 Inches and it was barely audible past 8 so I think she needs tuned.

Best to contact him and ask. Also talk to him about what a tune up will and will not do for you before you decide to send it in or not send it in. Last I heard, First Texas / Fisher Labs still has two or three of the old Fisher CZ techs on the payroll and they should have no problem doing a tune up right too.

Freshly buried coins frequently don't get detected as well as ones that have been buried a while. Since you have a lot of nails in the area, some of the iron content leached into the dirt may also keep you from getting as deep as some air test reports indicate a CZ can be. Might also try turning the volume up into the boost range to see if the boosted audio gives you better response on deep ones.

And it looks like you have a good hunting place with some older stuff in the ground. Bet you will turn up some more silver. Good to see silver coming out of the ground!
Cheers,
