HUGE Seas at my beach = BIG Cuts I like it!!

The past week has seen some huge seas hammering my local beach, as a result the bank has been severely cut back, the most i've ever seen, i've been finding all sorts of goodies + about $70AU in clad, my favourite keeper is a rather nice 1875 one shilling, oldest coin i ever found & in pretty good knick!! no gold as yet but i still have unfinished business at this beach, stay tuned.

Take a look......

Oh yeah...you need to hit that HARD. Those are some beautiful cuts. No telling what you might pull out of there.

Hi Terry, Yes Australia, Sunny Coffs Harbour, Northern NSW. It's a big tourist destination in summer & there's probably less than a dozen of us using detectors here. There should be plenty of bounty, fingers crossed for some good stuff soon.......Cheers Marty

If all that sand moved out of there, then where do all the targets that were in the middle of the cut go? Would they be in the water? Thanks HH

Take a masonry jar, put in a little sand, then a little gravel then a gold ring and then fill it almost full of water - - Now shake vigorously. What happened??
Same thing that happens to the heavy tickets in the middle of the bluff that got eroded, they moved a little with the force of the waves but being much heavier they also begin to sink immediately so you'll find them where?
Somewhere in between the bluff and the first bar for most of those tickets is my guess.
There are a lot of other factors like wind direction, tides, rip tides, etc. but you'll find most of the loot, most of the time just where I am suggesting.

Now get out there with that new Excal and find some loot Pirate!

Cheers,

BDA:cool:
