Huge Old Butterfly Pin / Navy Button / Silver And Buffalos

Well-known member
I stayed fairly close to home this weekend and hooked into some finds.
Butterfly pin was about a foot deep and I was lucky it wasn't all bent up. It is over 4 inches long.
The Navy button was about 8 inches and read like a choppy old wheat penny.

Nickels are Dateless, 1918, 1936, 1941,1945, 1946, 1954.
Mercs are 1918d, 1918d, 1940s, 1942, 1943. Wheat pennies are back to 1911.
I also nabbed a few pins and rings including the Skater pin.
Crotal Bell has a 1876 & 1878 patent date.

If anyone can date the Navy button for me I would appreciate it as that has to be pretty old based on the depth.
Of course the back isn't much help with how roached out it is.
I also need help with identification of the bottom Item. Maybe an old dresser decoration face plate.

Wow! Awesome finds Flood. That pin is really amazing and incredible that the pin on the backside is still there.

I follow you flood. That's about the size of my home turf as well. May have to stretch it out a bit soon. But holy cow! What another fantastic weekend of detecting!

It looks like you found yourself a place that has not been beat to death already, nice finds

Is that pin silver?

Hi Mark,
I didn't see any marking on the back so I'm guessing it is not silver.
Finds came from 7 different places and I got a few at each place. 4 out of the 5 dimes were right next to iron and were chopped signals.

by that I meant because the dimes were right by iron and the signal was tight and you had to be going slow to catch it as it was just faint but repeatable chirp.

By chopped signal do you mean not repeatable at 90 degrees?
