hudson emblem

Hudson is a car, that's what that came off of, steering wheel, hubcap, side /head marker or something like that.

I looked but the closest plates I could find were on kerosene and carbide lamps and also Bicycle and motorcycle badges. Any of which could have been made by Hudson but I couldn;t find the badges to go with them. Some of these are Hudson, some are not. Just some similar plate designs that could be what yours was used for. No matches so far.

Still looking for a match. Can you verify the last letter, please? It looks like an M. The last part of the letter(that shows) doesn't look like it is straight up/down like an N should be.

That's an old HUDSON vehicle logo, the triangle or upside down V gives it away, it could be from a grill, horn, hubcap, trunk, hood, etc, that's my guess.

the last letter is"N". the back is the same as the front, just opposite. Thanks Ant for the time you spent researching it. Before I posted I knew if info could be found you would find it. I counldn't find anything just like it

The only thing close I could come up with is if I typed hudson super. The triangles on the Hudson six is that shape.

I noticed that too 7centsworth, the others are elongated . It is the same on the other side so that should narrow it down to not being a horn, hubcap, side, radiator cap or fuel cap ornament.

I think he meant the other side is reversed and inset from the stamping process when it was made. Maybe a picture of the back would clear it up though. Seems like it is stamped from a sheet of copper or brass and the back is likely the indention of the front, reading backwards.

Oh my mistake Aarron81. I can clearly see what he meant now , and the reverse being concave it could have been mounted almost anywhere, a flat surface, finder, bumper, trunk, dash, etc. It still looks like the inverted Super 8 triangle like 7centsworth wrote.

can anyone tell me about this?

Google a Hudson collectors club and see if it sparks any replies.
