HS Ring What HS?

You're not going to believe this but I found a web page with that exact same ring. It was found in 1974 with a body of a young woman.
Not so sure its a high school ring.

Did you find this ring, because the web site lists the same letters that are inside the one you show. Weird, very weird.

Photo where given to me, person thought since finding so many rings that i might have luck. Spoke with her today and it's the same ring.. Appears she is a bit obsessed with this case, since the woman was never identified, would have to say i keep thinking about this ring now..

Thanks for looking and obviously good web searching.

What if we took the letters in the order they are on the ring. JHSN. My first thought was John Hopkins School of Nursing. It was founded in 1889 and is located in Maryland. The ring is dated 1917 and was found where, Connecticut? That isn't too far away from the university.
Almost all nursing students in those days were women. Just a thought.

Good analytical thinking Dave.

Thank You, it looks like a custom made ring, but think the idea of it being a woman's ring graduates of John hopkins school of nursing makes sence. Will start looking to see about finding a year book or graduating class of 1917.. at least it's a direction for research.. will let you know what i find

Thanks, always looking for more help, but that school was established in 1965, ring has a date of 1917,

The ring looks as though it was a custom made ring, more than a few jewelers now have made this observation.
