HP 2900

The only complaint I have is that the internal shut off in the battery is not in correlation to the voltage bar displayed on the start up screen of the v3i. When you get down to half power on the start up screen you better charge your pack.

Prepare to charge once every 15 hours or more. I like to keep mine over half full so that I dont have a chance of running out when in the field.

I had a HP 2900 before they came out. I will see if I can find the tests. Here was a post on the 2200. The run times were just longer for the 2900.

[ Iill be watching for your review Groundscanner. My V3i is due may 30th. Chuck @ Indian nation says he carries the HP2900 but is out. Kellyco carries them but says the reg price is $199.99 and sells for the same price the manufacturer has of $149.95. prices approximate. so who else sells the HP2900? it was suggested i may not need one as i don't hunt extreme. boost is not recommended for high mineral ground and i'll have to see how much back-light i'd need. the sun don't shine as much here as some places.
And Chuck has another used V3i 4 sale if anyone is interested.

You don't need the LI ION batteries. The regular Whites rechargeable packs are more than enough for most people. How many need a pack that is good for 20+ hours. Do I have them, yes. Do I need them no. They are nice in that if you charge them and then decide to go hunting 2 weeks later they will still be 99% charged. It all depends on what you want. I do like them.
