Been posting some on the Fisher Forum, but did not realize this is where I should have been all along, as I'm a water hunter and have had a Fisher CZ21-10 on order, since finding out there was a release on the new unit, way back in the summer. I have been patiently waiting for the unit to come in. I was told by Fisher that the unit would ship out on Jan. 21st and today I found out that it still is not ready to ship and awaiting production on the line. Yes I'm whining! Yes I would like some cheese with my whine! I feel like I have been quite patient and still believe the unit will be worth the wait. I have never owned or used a Fisher product before. I currently use Excal 800 & 1000 units. I have had various other PIs too. I have heard such great things about the CZ20s and actually found a new one, 1 week before hearing about the CZ21s release and purchased it from an East coast dealer, who is not a Findmall sponsor. I'm sure it's sold by now anyway guys, so don't bother. I wanted the unit so bad, that I paid full retail for it. I sent it back for a full refund, after finding out that the CZ21 would be releasing shortly, or so I was told. I am ready to try this legend in water hunting detectors, guess I am just a little dissappointed, that's all. Thanks for listening to a whiner!

I got my CZ 21 back in December. There were 2 other dealers that had them in stock at that time also. If you checked around you should have had one by now. I was not on any waiting list I just checked out some places online that sell detectors. I have had an Excal before and much prefer this CZ21. It is built like a tank and I like the very distinct tones. Pinpoint is right on. I have been using it on land this December to hunt relics with during bad weather and have done very well with it....this is and area that is full of iron. I will be using it in spring on for freshwater lakes and in Fla. 2x year when I come down around Cocoa Beach. I noticed in the relic area I have been hunting for 8 months now that the CZ 21 was finding more gold gilt buttons and the separate rings that came off suspender buckles. I would assume that this attribute would carry over to finding jewelry. I have the 8inch coil.

Thanks for the reply Heath. I ordered the unit from my local Fisher dealer, as I do not mail order, unless the unit I want is not available from him. He is a Fisher, Garrett and White's dealer. He has been a great dealer, since I began detecting in the early 90s. I am very excited about running the unit, as it's reputation preceeds it. I just need to get the unit in my hands!
