How would you like to detect this place.:detecting:

The house was built in 1864, but it's on our states Historical Registry and off limits to detecting. I envy anyone who detected there before it became off limits. HH.

Good idea, but not worth doing any jail time. I have to admit that I did detect this place not knowing it was on the registry for about twenty minutes before a park worker told me that it was off limits. He was very nice about it, but asked me to go back to the other part of the park. Did manage to find a 1900 v-nickel and a 1902 Indian before I was asked to leave. Man, to be able to spend the whole day there. HH.

It's really too bad that a person couldn't get permission granted to detect a spot like that and any finds found would be donated and put into a display case to show tourists not only what the house and furnishings looked like back then but to add a little character with a nice display of Coins and Relics that were found on the home site grounds itself that someone back then dropped. Now that would really brighten up a room don't you think Eddie. Good Luck and HH to you.

i'd put my ninja suit on and do back flips up to the steps with my detector on my back start from the front porch and if someone came by run like a chicken with my head cut off! just kidding:devil:

Remember what you said about respecting other people's property Weston. Also holds true to places that are on the National History Registry. Man, I'd give my left you know what to be able to detect that place just for one whole day. HH.

That would be a good idea James and I just may try and get ahold of the right people and see if they will let me in there and all that I find would go to the park and maybe put on display like you suggested. That old place is a museum with all the old furnishings and etc still inside the house. Found out that it's only open for viewing by request. GL and HH to you also.
