How well will Eagle Spectrum Perform on beach?

i have 2 coils the stock and Bluemax 600 deepscan
how well does it perform on the beach? wetsand/drysand ?

i use my 5900 on the beach with very good results......i hunt some fresh water beaches near my house every year and always find a few small pieces of gold usually ear rings or studs or charms.... on a salt water beach it will not work in the wet sand however on a fresh water beach it will....be carefull to not submerge your coil ....i submerged my 5.3 coil and water got into it and i had to perform surgery on it to save it.....on the beach either the 600 or 950 would be best....i usually use the 950 just to get a little more depth but the 660 has an advantage when it comes to pinpointing and target separation so either coil will do...... for best results ground balance, run signal balance three quarters, and only disc out iron-disc setting 3...dig all targets that move the meter....ive found a fair share of gold using this method.....

awesome thanks bootyhoundpa by wet do you mean as in it will spaz near the ocean water but with beach sand thats after rain cause the Eagle to act erradically?

Your Eagle Spectrum will work great on the dry sand, and it will still work good if it has rained on the sand. It's not the greatest once you get down the slope to the wet sand. It would have to be raining to the point of saturating the dry sand for it to give you any problems. Your 950 coil would be the best for searcing the dry unless you get searching around campfire rings where there is usually an abundance of nails. This is where the 600 coil will do the best.

so the 600 is in a way a sniper coil awesome yea weve had some intense showers here recently so the sand if thoroughly soaked i was just out with my xterra 705 it seems to handle the wet sand fairly well with a HF coil even managed to crank the sensitivity to near 80% w/o fals sigs
im going to need to wait a couple scorching days to try My Eagle Spectrum on the beach but from what ive gathered the Eagle should have no issues in moist dirt and fresh water beaches thanks for the responses guys im looking forward to have this Eagle as a good compliment to my Minelab Xterra705 the operating frequency should net me different results and the spectrum graph once all unwanted disc signals are rejected works beautifuly i can tell this was a top of the line MD in 91 and it will still """ on many new detectors

I use mine on South Georgia beaches both wet and dry sand including wading in the surf at low tide. Only have to lower the sensitivity a little in the wet stuff. Our beaches are white sand with very little minerals so the salt conductivity is the only issue I have to deal with.

so if its chirping just lower AC / DC sens and the pre table amp gain till you have silence which is what ive concluded from reading quite a few topics on the Eagle spec?

That is what works for me. Good Luck and HH.
awesome thanks! i intend on keeping the eagle as a mid freq detector and just finding the LF coil formy xterra705 since i have the HF ellip DD to have a good 3 freq range to work with.
