How well does the Super 12 coil pinpoint?

I'm having a little trouble pinpointing accurately with the stock coil and I'm considering getting the Super 12 coil for my MXT.

I just received my super 12 I waited two month I got it when the special was on for 49.95 so I can't complain. I'm going to an old fort tomorrow I'll let you know how it works. there was an Indian skirmish about four miles from the fort not many people go there it's pretty rough to get to, that makes it all the better.well HH Chuck-AZ

Western & Eastern Treasures Magazine has done a test on the super 12 in the Oct.issue,Dick Stout seemed to be impressed. you might want to read that article. Chuck-AZ:whites:

To me the s-12 pinpointed better than the stk. on my M6. I also thought that the signals were more iffy than the stk but it hit hard on small targets. I wasn't getting the benefits of the big coil the way I was using it ,hunting in parks and schoolyards, so I traded it with a relic hunter, for the 6x10. I haven't heard from him, so I don't know how he likes it...Also I think that having more user control over the machine like an MXT or DFX would be a plus when using the S-12 coil...Good Luck .. HH..

I didn't have any trouble at all pinpointing with it. As someone else mentioned, I think it is easier to pinpoint with the 12" than it is with the stock coil. Just my two cents.
